Don't push the time for you recovery, allow plenty of time. The speed of healing is fairly consistent for most operations but things can always change.
During the first few days you will be swollen, bruised and uncomfortable. By the end of two weeks you will often be able to get around fairly normally but you should not lift heavy weights or do vigorous exercise for another month.
A lot depends on the type of surgery and recovery for eyelid tightening is obviously much quicker than for a tummy tuck. Your surgeon can advise you about this.
Bleeding most often occurs in the first 24 hours but occasionally patients bleed about 10 days after surgery.
Infections are usually noticed within 3-5 days. For most people it is a good idea to be in the same area as your surgeon for a week or two after surgery. This obviously varies a lot with the type of surgery, the distance you must travel and the surgeon's judgment in your case. There are no fixed rules.
